Marshview Boatworks is owned by Harvey Schwartz. We’re located, as might be expected, next to the salt marsh between Greenwood Creek and the Ipswich River. When the wind is from the east we can hear the surf breaking at Crane Beach and Plum Island. Harvey has been building small wood boats for thirty years. He’s written half a dozen articles for WoodenBoat Magazine. The shop can build boats up to about 18 feet in length.
We’re closed for four months every summer while we travel the canals of France on our 90-year-old Dutch barge, Hoop Doet Leven. We blog about these travels at http://www.onabargeinfrance.com and you can read about it in our book of the same title, available from Amazon by clicking here.
